Flexing my designing muscles

My journey on the road of graphic designing has been a long and winding one, to say the least. At one stage I hated it so much, I could break my pc into the tiniest little pieces. But it has been about three years since I’ve taken to the (virtual) drawing board and I must admit that it has grown on me. I love nothing more than you sit and figure out colours and fonts and shapes and sizes. It excites me when I’m handed a project and I simply cannot turn in for the night without creating a rough, rough draft. And yes, I’m a perfectionist.

Here’s the part I love most about designing; When handed a brief to design a poster or invitation or anything really, I have absolutely no idea on what the end product will look like. I don’t have the faintest clue on how I will start or what exactly I will do first. All I know for fact is that once I see the completed design, I will know that it is exactly what I wanted it to be. And I will not rest until I reach that moment. Perfectionism is a tiring and frustrating business. Phew!

Below are a few of my latest designs. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Till next time… xoxo
